Course enrollment, timetable records, exam dates, grades, classifications, and the official study plan.
Open KOS ↗CVUT student guide
Use this when you know what you need to do but not which university system owns the task. It focuses on durable workflows rather than dates or prices, which should always be checked on the linked official page.

Terms such as “exam,” “forgot password,” “lunch,” “card photo,” and “counselling” work.
Your first 30 minutes
Do these in order. Later services depend on your CTU identity being active, so solving the account first prevents several confusing failures at once.
Want to track this privately as you go? Use the interactive first-year checklist; progress stays in this browser.
- Set the initial CTU password. Follow the official initial-password instructions. Never enter the password on this site.
- Check UserMap. Confirm your identity, faculty role, contacts, and account status in UserMap.
- Prepare the student card. Read the card requirements, then use the Card Portal for photo and self-service tasks.
- Open KOS and Outlook. KOS is your official study record; Outlook is where important university communication arrives.
- Find your Moodle courses. Moodle is the teaching workspace. A course can exist in KOS before it appears in Moodle.
- Configure eduroam. Use the official setup guide because Wi-Fi credentials are not always identical to the main CTU login.
Which system owns the task?
Lecture materials, assignments, quizzes, forums, course announcements, and teacher-provided resources.
Open Moodle ↗Your CTU identity, roles, contact details, main password, and the information other systems use about you.
Open UserMap ↗Technical incidents, missing roles, broken services, and requests that need an official support team.
Open ServiceDesk ↗When a login or course is missing
- Several CVUT systems reject the login
- Start with the CTU password and UserMap. A central identity or role problem can affect several services together.
- Only eduroam fails
- Use the eduroam password and setup instructions. Changing the main CTU password does not necessarily repair Wi-Fi credentials.
- A course is in KOS but not Moodle
- Check that enrollment is complete, allow time for synchronization, then follow the course or faculty instructions. Ask the teacher before opening a technical ticket when enrollment looks correct.
- Your role or faculty access is missing
- Confirm the role in UserMap. If the official record is wrong or does not propagate, send a ServiceDesk request with the service name and a non-sensitive description.
Never send passwords, recovery codes, full identity documents, or screenshots containing private study records. Support staff can ask for safer identifiers if needed.

Technical, academic, and personal support
Not every problem is an IT ticket. Choosing the right support route usually gets a faster and more useful answer.
- ServiceDesk: unavailable systems, access problems, incidents, and official service requests.
- CIPS: free academic, psychological, social-legal, coaching, personal-development, and crisis support.
- ELSA: accessibility services and study adaptations for students with specific needs.
- Your faculty: study-department questions, local rules, programme requirements, rooms, labs, and faculty-specific services.
International and exchange students
Start with the International Office arrival information for airport transport, campus orientation, and practical arrival steps. The International Student Club provides buddy support, activities, and a student community. Academic records still run through the same core CTU systems, but faculty and exchange coordinators remain the authority for your individual study plan.
Research, careers, and community
The CTU Library offers licensed journals, e-books, standards, citation databases, and research support. The Career Centre provides counselling, workshops, mentoring, and employer connections. The Student Union and university events calendar are the quickest routes into clubs, talks, sport, culture, and campus life.
These opportunities are easy to miss because they live on different websites, so save the useful ones on the main directory. Saved links stay only in your browser.
One final rule
Use CVUT Crossroad to choose a destination. Use the official destination to make the decision. The linked service remains the source of truth for deadlines, prices, eligibility, access rules, and personal records.
