Privacy and advertising

Information stored on your device

Search and category filtering run in your browser. If you save a link, open a directory result, or tick a first-year checklist step, the site stores that choice in your browser's local storage so it can restore saved links, recent shortcuts, and checklist progress on that device. This information is not submitted to CVUT Crossroad and can be removed with the page controls or by clearing site data in your browser.

Search terms and filters can also appear in the page URL so you can bookmark or share a result. As with any requested URL, the host may process that URL in technical request logs.

Hosting and security logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, approximate location, and security events to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the site. CVUT Crossroad does not operate its own visitor-account database.

Advertising

The home page, Student Guide, and First-Year Checklist are configured to use Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device information, IP addresses, and interaction data to select or measure ads, prevent fraud, and provide personalized advertising where permitted.

For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google requires a certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Ad serving and personalization depend on the choices collected through the published Google privacy message. Google may also provide a “Privacy and cookie settings” link that allows those choices to be changed later.

When a Google ad unit is not configured, the site may instead show a direct sponsorship or site promotion. These placements are clearly labelled and use an ordinary link; CVUT Crossroad does not add third-party advertising cookies for a direct placement unless this policy is updated to say so.

External university links

Directory results open official university and service websites in a new tab. Those sites receive the normal information sent when you visit a webpage and apply their own privacy, cookie, login, and account rules. CVUT Crossroad never asks for or proxies a CTU password.

Your choices

• Use the directory without saving favorites; all search and filtering still works.
• Remove recent shortcuts, reset checklist progress, or clear this site's local storage in your browser.
• Use the Google privacy message to accept, refuse, or manage advertising purposes where it is shown.
• Use browser controls to block or clear cookies and other site data.
